Washington D.C.

Navy SEAL that killed Bin Laden calls Hersh’s accusations ‘Ludicrous’

A former member of SEAL Team 6, the Navy’s elite special operations unit tasked with taking out Bin Laden has stepped forward in defense of President Obama denying the accusation made by Seymour Hersh, a journalist of notable reputation, who stated only days ago that the raid on Bin Laden and his subsequent death where staged.

The operator who actually pulled the trigger has qualified the accusation as ‘ludicrous’ and slammed the author on national Television. «When I was first sent the article, I thought it was a joke,» recalled Rob O’Neill to Fox News monday night. «This thing is so ludicrous it’s almost an insult to the word ludicrous. For someone who wasn’t there to say stuff that I saw happen….it’s comedy,»

The Ex Navy SEAL, who was the man who pulled the trigger on Bin Laden took issue with the allegation made by Hersh that there was no firefight during the nighttime raid in Abbottabad, Pakistan.

«I saw Osama Bin Laden standing on two feet, there were no [Intelligence agents] up there» recalling his encounter with the terrorist leader. «I shot him in the head twice, and then I shot him again in the face while he was on the ground.»

O’Neil stood by Presidente Obama and his account to the nation of what happened the night Bin Laden was killed. «The story the president put out is the truth,» O’Neill said. «Everything that we said we did, we did,»

The White House responded in like manner calling the accusation «baseless» and inaccurate.

White House National Security Spokesperson Ned Price also weighed in «The notion that the operation that killed Bin Laden was anything but a unilateral U.S. mission is patently false.»
